Welcome to the National Youth Development Agency (NYDA)!

The NYDA is a youth organization located in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. Our primary goal is to support the holistic development of young people in the country. We offer a range of products and services aimed at empowering and equipping the youth with the skills and resources they need to succeed.

At NYDA, we believe in the importance of education and skills development. That’s why we offer programs and initiatives tailored to meet the unique needs of young individuals. Whether it’s through our National Youth Services Programme, Education and Skills initiatives, or Business Management Training, we are dedicated to providing young people with the tools they need to thrive.

In addition to our educational programs, we also offer various support services. Our Mentorship program pairs young individuals with experienced professionals who can guide and support them in their personal and professional growth. We also facilitate market linkages, connecting young entrepreneurs with potential business opportunities.

At NYDA, we understand that financial support can be a barrier for many young individuals. That’s why we have the NYDA Grant Programme and Voucher Programme, which provide financial assistance to eligible applicants. We also offer sponsorships and access to the Thusano Fund to further support young people in realizing their dreams and aspirations.

As a government agency, the NYDA values transparency and accountability. We are proud to have achieved consecutive clean audits for the year 2022/2023, demonstrating our commitment to fiscal responsibility. We are also proud to have placed thousands of young people in job opportunities and helped them secure paid service opportunities.
